Bobby Stevens & Kay Barry - Come Outside

At today's Boot Sale I found some Embassy Singles, this should keep me going for some time, the seller said he had a load more Embassy singles but had not brought them as he thought they might not sell, he said he will bring them to a future sale (he did tell me which one).

Today's record came from last weeks Boot Sale

    3. Sorry, as you now know my English isn't that good... what's the origine of motherlode... and why isn't it mother'load' (as in 'cargo')? This is really off-topic!!! Hahaha

    4. I assure you my little ribbing of your word "motherload" was all in good fun, and come to think of it "motherload" sounds just as descriptive! "Lode" means a deposit or vein of metallic ore, or "an abundant supply of something". That second meaning is not very different from "load", right? Cheers.

  2. Great news for Embassy Sunday. Thanks I had a scratchy version of come outside but was missing the flip.

  3. By now I'm a Bobby Stevens/Ray Pilgrim fan. Just where is the bottom of this Embassy pit of 45's?

    1. There are acording to 45Cat 556 Embassy 45's including the EP's, just over 200 are EP's leaving between 330-340 singles, I possibly have about a third of them. Sunday's batch was 30 records, 1 was a duplicate and a couple were EP's in Embassy paper sleeves, one of the Embassy's I picked up was the last Embassy 45 issued, at present I have enough Embassy 45's to keep going for about a year I am saving WT2014 the last Embassy to finish the series, I am always aquiring more Embassy singles, at a recent boot sale some one was trying to sell Embassy singles fron £5 upwards I already had all the singles he had and I will not pay that much for an Embassy single.

    2. For some reason I'd taken on a fascination for the label even before learning so much more about it and its artistes from your site. I've been collecting vinyl records for nearly 40 years and strangely enough it's just in recent times I've begun to come into Embassy sides, but then I'm not from your part of the world.
