It could be Jean Campbell. Jimmy Johnston was a member of the Keynotes with Jean, and apparently, the Johnston Brothers were really the male members of the Keynotes. Therefore it would appear that The Johnston Brothers and Jean could also have been billed as the Keynotes.
ReplyDeleteYes, if you read Jean's obituary, in 2003, you will see that it gives you all the information you need about Jean Campbell !Decca recorded for Woolworths, so that everyone could afford cheap records, and, Jean sang for Decca ! She did indeed sing with the Keynotes, was very well known, and, highly thought of, by singers such as Tony Bennett.
